Invacare Corporation Teams with Medwish International to Provide Aid to Haiti

ELYRIA, Ohio - (January 15, 2010) - Invacare Corporation (NYSE: IVC) is donating supplies to MedWish International, a local Cleveland non-profit organization, to assist relief efforts in Haiti.
Invacare HomeCare, Invacare Continuing Care and Invacare Supply Group are banding together to donate 400 walkers, 100 mattresses, 250 canes, 640 pairs of crutches, 250 rollators, 175 Invacare® Veranda™ Wheelchairs and profuse hospital aids and supplies. The total donation will top $105,000. MedWish will be providing ongoing assistance to Haiti over the next weeks and months, including shipments of supplies.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the earthquake in Haiti," said A. Malachi Mixon III, chairman and chief executive officer at Invacare. "In light of this terrible tragedy, Invacare is working with MedWish to coordinate the donation of supplies to the relief effort.
