2008 Paralympic Medals* — The 2008 Paralympic medals were designed with inspiration from ancient Chinese jade pieces. The medals, symbolizing nobility and virtue, are embodiment of traditional Chinese values of ethics and honor. One side features the emblem of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the name of the event, and "Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games" in Chinese, English and Braille.
