Welcome to the newly redesigned Invacare.com.

Invacare Corporation has changed a lot since I led a leveraged buyout of the Company with a small group of investors in December 1979. At the time of purchase, the Company had limited product lines of standard wheelchairs and patient aids and net sales were $19 million. It employed 350 associates and had three plants in the United States.

Since then Invacare has expanded into a full line of home medical and non-acute-care equipment. The Company has grown to $1.7 billion in sales with 6,000 associates worldwide. In 2009 Invacare was listed on the "Fortune" 1000 list and the "IndustryWeek" U.S. Manufacturing 500.

Even more importantly, Invacare has introduced innovative new products over the past 30 years that truly have allowed consumers to live life better. Invacare associates work hard to ensure that our tagline, "Yes, you can.®" is a living testament for anyone who uses our products.
