Whether you have questions about a wheelchair or a walker, a bed or an oxygen concentrator, you'll often find your answer right within our website. All of our products - and complete information about them - are available online. At the top of every page, you'll see a tab for the Product Catalog. You can search through the product catalog by selecting the type of product you are looking for, the sub-category, and then finally clicking on the product itself to see all the details.

You can also search for your product in the search box found in the left hand menubar. You simply type in the product brand name (such as TDX) or the product type (such as walker) to see a full list of options.

Lastly, you can contact your local dealer with questions on products. To find the nearest dealer, please search our dealer locator or service centers listings.
Owner's manuals, service manuals, and other documentation for all our products are available on our website. In the left hand menubar under the search box, click on the link for Product Literature Search. Enter either a Keyword or Product ID, use the drop down box for Document Type and select "Owner's Manual", and then click "Search". Your search results will appear at the bottom of the page. Select the link that corresponds with your product to view the owner's manual.
The serial number location varies based on the product.

The location of the serial number is:
  • Manual wheelchairs - under the seat on the crossbrace or on the frame
  • Power wheelchairs - located on the frame and will not be located on any electronic components
On a power wheelchair, you may have to remove the batteries or shroud to locate it.
  • Concentrators - inside filter door on the side
  • Beds - on the bed ends, headspring, and footspring
  • Lifts - on the mast and base
  • Patient aids (walkers, canes, rollators, commodes, etc.) - various locations with a date or lot code of 5 or 6 digits

For all products (except patient aids), the serial number will resemble the following number: 02A12345 or 02BM123456. The first two characters designate the year the product was made and the 3rd character designates the month it was manufactured (A=January, B=February, etc.).
  • Invacare is unable to make donations to individuals, only to 501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations. You may wish to contact your local chapter of the Easter Seals Society, as they may be able to provide you with some of the equipment that you need.
Invacare is a manufacturer that distributes new equipment only. To sell used equipment, we generally suggest advertising in the newspaper or by any means you would normally try to sell an item. You may also consider donating the product to a charity if you could benefit from the tax deduction.
Invacare's technical service department has provided the following formula to figure out the amount of power consumption in a given period.

[Machine wattage X Hours of use per day X Average number of days within a month (30)] / 1000

The product of the above equation will provide you with the kilowatt hours for the given period. To find out the usage cost per month, multiply the kilowatt hours by the price per kilowatt hour as determined by your local electric company.
If you will be storing the wheelchair and the batteries for a long period of time, we recommend fully charging the batteries then disconnecting them from the electronics. At least every other week the batteries will need to be reconnected, charged, and then disconnected again.

When batteries are no longer of use to you, we recommend taking them to a battery recycling center.
Invacare no longer requests that customers register their product online or complete a warranty registration card. Should a field action or recall occur Invacare will identify the affected units and contact your Invacare dealer with instructions for resolution.
