| This Two Day Seating Seminar introduces the clinical/functional benefits and application of Custom Simulation/Molding, Reviews Principles of Seating and Positioning as they relate to custom seating, provides detailed information on techniques used to provide effective results in the field, and reviews the ContourU manufacturing/ordering process. This comprehensive course includes significant hands on experience on day two evaluating and fitting wheelchair users for ContourU seating. ContourU Certification and CEU's are provided on completion.

How will the user access these functions independently? How would a caregiver? This seminar is designed for the individual interested in a comprehensive view of powered seating functions. Covered topics include descriptions of powered seating functions such as tilt, recline, elevate and power elevating legs, their clinical and functional benefits, justifying medical necessity and strategies for independent operation with standard and alternative driver controls. Utilizing demonstration, hands-on application, and fictitous clinical profiles this course will address the clinical applications and justifications of powered seating functions and strategies for independent operation. This seminar addresses the transition from MK5 to MK6i electronics as it pertains to powered seating systems and how new developments are enabling easier set-up and more intuitive programming for the clinician, technician or RTS and greater independence for the user.
